Day 7 Oishi Koi Farm
In February I purchased some superb quality Platinum Ogons and Yamabuki , more of the same today but with the Platinums are some superb Gin Matsuba. Also individually selected are , Sorogoi , Beni Goi , Shusui , Shiro Utsuri , Asagi and Tancho. A few pictures below.
All the Yamabuki , Gin Matsuba , Platinums are £60 each
Beni goi and Shusui are £60 each , Soragoi £49 each.
Also purchased on my last day at Oishi were some very high quality nisai 50cm+

Day 6 Oishi Koi Farm
A great view of the Momotaro Stadium and another beautiful day ahead in Japan.
I arrived in Okayama late evening and after six superb days in Niigata it was time for my usual visit to Oishi Koi Farm , this farm always has superb Koi for me and i was really looking forward to adding some superb Tosai to my Niigata collection. These are some of the koi chosen on my first day.

These are some of the High Quality Tosai purchased today , tomorrow i will have more ponds to choose from.
Day 3 and 4 Dainichi and Isa
The videos and pictures were not good quality for the Dainichi Kohaku and Showa , so only these two to post. The bodies are superb and to get this quality is fantastic , Shigeru's comments on these two Koi is that they can grow very big. If you are lucky enough to see these at the shop you see why Shigeru rates them very highly.

Day 2 Nogami Koi Farm
There is always so much going on when I arrive in Japan and yesterday I forgot to mention the Dainichi Auction on my first day , the Koi were superb and the bodies on the Jumbo Tosai were stunning for such young Koi. A quick chat with Shigeru about koi he has available for me and I didnt have to worry about how many Koi I was successful with at the auction . There was a pond ready for me to choose from in a couple of days.
The quality of these Nogami Kohaku is stunning , the shiroji and beni is very high quality , the videos show this quality very well , not even a year old the potential of these koi is fantastic.

After Nogami it was a short journey to Dainichi to have a look at the Jumbo Tosai that i will be selecting from the next day, with some stunning Jumbo Tosai already purchased from Nogami and Marudo the trip is going very well .
April Koi Hunting 2016
Day 1 Marudo ( Hisashi Hirasawa)
With a very busy trip planned I will do my best to post as many of the Koi purchased as I can. First stop was Marudo for some superb Female Jumbo Tosai , over the last few years these have sold very quick and I was looking forward to see what i could find this year. When I arrived Hisashi Hirasawa was still bringing some of the Koi to the main Koi house so checked out some of his non go-sanke and purchased some very high quality Chagoi and Yamabuki , all female and 35-40cm.
I may go back for a few more of these as the quality and price is very good , and being female could easily grow over 90cm if you can feed them enough !
With no sign of Hisashi san , i can only think he was reluctant to sell these Koi , I went to Marusei Koi Farm for a few more larger Yamabuki and Chagoi plus a few Red Eyed kigoi on order and Hi Utsuri. Below are some of the koi purchased.
Sorry no Chagoi videos but they have superb scalation , great bodies and coming from Marusei can grow huge !!
A few more nisai were purchased varieties including , Hi Utsuri , Shusui , Asagi , Chagoi , Yamabuki and Aka Matsuba. I have only posted a few of the Koi purchased here.

New Niigata Koi
This week our Niigata Koi arrived from my trip in February , with many varieties including , Sanke , Kohaku , Showa , Chagoi , Goshiki , Shiro Ursuri , Yamabuki , Mizu Ogon , Shusui and Asagi we have a superb selection for sale , from breeders including Omosako , Dainichi , Nogami , Isa , Marudo , Marusei , Oya and Kanno.I will start posting Koi on the website from next week but would recommend visiting as we have over three hundred new koi and more arriving next week.

Day 4 Dainichi
Just like Nogami and Marudo , Dainichi Koi Farm didn't disappoint. The only down side of the day was the quality of the pictures due to slightly cloudy water , so i will only show some videos. As mentioned before i have too many Koi to post everything so please contact me for further information on Koi.
Day 3 Marusei
I was very lucky with the weather in Niigata , clear blue sky and sunshine , making the visits to the farm perfect , there is nothing better than buying Koi in Niigata whatever time of the year.
A trip to Niigata would not be complete without a visit to Marusei , probably the biggest breeder in Niigata producing the most varieties.
Two very High Quality Sansai Chagoi 60-65cm that will easily grow past 85cm.
