After the auction a few days earlier is was good to get back to Dainichi and check out the Jumbo Tosai available to me , last Years Female Jumbo Tosai were a great success with many now over 55cm with super development. Some of these have been featured on the koi for sales pages showing the change over the last 10 months. Some examples of last years Dainichi Showa.
I had been looking forward to this day since my trip in February , Nogami produces some of the best Kohaku in Japan and his koi have won Grand Champion many times , using Dainichi bloodline gives him Koi that can grow very big with fantastic bodies. Below are two Grand Champions of recent years
Day 3 started with a trip to the mountains , the weather has been superb since i arrived about 23 to 24 degrees everyday , the breeders are now preparing koi for th emudponds much earlier than expected.

First farm was Marudo this farm is now on my list every visit to Japan and Hisashi Hirasawa is giving me the opportunity to buy high level go-sanke every visit , many of you may have seen the unsexed tosai i bought in February , these are now on the website and are selling fast. This trip was for Female Jumbo Tosai and he did not disappooint ....
This is one of the most busiest trips i have had in a long while, starting with the Dainichi Auction ,my flight to Japan started in an unexpected way as I booked the flight and just assumed the plane i would be on. I was surprised and pleased to find that Qatar Airlines had now introduced the A380 Airbus to the schedules , a plane i had hoped to travel on sooner. A fantastic plane in every aspect the quietness of the flight is amazing!.
